Remote Learning

We have prepared an outline of what our Remote Learning Program looks like for parents.  We have reviewed and enhanced our model from 2020 to maintain continuity of learning and student engagement.

In the event that a Covid-Lockdown sends Baden Powell College back into Remote Learning, all students from Prep – Six will be using the G Suite for Education and Google Classroom to access explicit teaching from their teachers and receive, hand in and access feedback on their learning tasks

Students from Years 7 - 9 will have access to their lesson outlines via Compass, in the Lesson Plan section, for every timetabled session (including Personal Growth/Independent Reading).

If you need support with a device for this period, please email baden.powell.p9.co@education.vic.gov.au and mark your email attention Jason Vandy.  Please be sure to include your child’s full name, grade level and class details. Our Assistant Principal Jason Vandy will communicate with you.

What we do know is that students who were supported to maintain the school routine had the most success, this also impacted their ability to transition in and out of remote learning smoothly.  Please do your best with the program and openly communicate with your child’s teacher. And note that if our teaching or education support staff call you to support you with remote learning they will be doing so from a private number.
